This stylish restaurant (French/New Zealand setting) with charming service serves only lunch platters with glorious Omata Estate wines. The food is quite wonderful, with home-made terrines, pates, chutneys and dips served with local produce including smoked fish, cheeses, olives and bread. It is beautifully presented and the platter changes from day to day. This is somewhere to take someone for a lunch-time treat - followed by a short drive to Russell to enjoy a coffee at a table on the beach under the shade of a pohutukawa tree. A heavenly day out!

This restaurant is an excellent venue for a really special day out in the Bay of Islands. Debbie [--] who runs the restaurant provides great quality food and excellent personal service, and coupled with amazing views out across the water, makes for an unforgettable experience.
On arrival we enjoyed a wine tasting, which helped in deciding to have their Summer Merlot and their dessert wine with the lunch. Scrumptious!
We celebrated a birthday here, complete with a chocolate and blueberry cake. Thank you again Debbie, we will be back!

Not only is this a spectacular setting, with stunning views over the vineyards and Bay of Islands, the wines are second to none and the food original and delicious ,with professional and welcoming staff and service.. It is a place to stop, relax and let the world go by. Can't wait to go back again on my next trip to New Zealand
