This stylish restaurant (French/New Zealand setting) with charming service serves only lunch platters with glorious Omata Estate wines. The food is quite wonderful, with home-made terrines, pates, chutneys and dips served with local produce including smoked fish, cheeses, olives and bread. It is beautifully presented and the platter changes from day to day. This is somewhere to take someone for a lunch-time treat - followed by a short drive to Russell to enjoy a coffee at a table on the beach under the shade of a pohutukawa tree. A heavenly day out!
