Had a school group to feed on Waitangi day - 30 plus students. Pre booked our food, food was awesome, great service and communication around what they could make at a time in the pizza oven. lovely outdoor setting. will come back!

Definitely worth going to for dinner if you can get in. We loved it. Great food and reasonably priced.

We have been there after a long motorbike ride. Hungry, thirsty, you know how it is. We were welcomed by the most friendly and bubbly people. You could feel they love to work there. My mates had pizzas and I ordered the Fish tacos. Everything looked outstanding. The tacos were amazing. Two big pieces of fish on coleslaw with a delicious dressing. Yumm. I tried some of the pizzas and they were exceptional. I need to go back and have a pizza.
They have an extensive range of crafts beer on tap. Which caused me some pain because I drink when I ride my bike. As I said, I need to come back.

The atmosphere is great, the garden lovely.

If you're not a Kiwi, pizza in NZ is always a risky affair. The dominance of atrocious pizzas like Hell, Domino's, Pizza Hut etc, has left what I fear is an indelible mark on what Kiwis expect of pizza. mostly judged on how many calories are loaded on top of a thick bready base.

It was thus one of the nicest surprises ever to find that Hone's Garden does what every Mediterranean would recognize as a proper pizza, and not only that, an excellent pizza as well. Well chosen flavours, and it's not bogged down with an overload of toppings.

The pizzas are magical, several classes above anything available in the Far North. My favourite is the summer pizza with proscuitto, but any which one is worth the effort to travel to Russell.
To add even more to the experience, a lovely selection of excellent craft beers, coupled with pleasant and friendly service.
My only hope/gripe is that in the future they stay open all year round, rather than close over the winter season.

We had our first dinner of our holiday at Hone’s and loved the feel of the place. Very cool tropical vibe and the staff are super friendly. The pizzas we ordered were tasty, although the chicken one was a little light on the toppings. All in all a yum pizza night out though. Would recommend. Also great discount on food for Top 10 Campground members which was great.
