Visited twice for dinner, both times sitting on the veranda, super view over the harbour, pleasant if not v quick service, good menu, first night we ate the shared shoulder of lamb which was beautiful then tonight excellent fish and chips with a v lightly cooked fish. All reasonably priced and offering 4 interesting flights of wine and good beer. Downsides were slaw with fish and chips!!! and the smoked mullet salad was a little bland.
Otherwise a v good restaurant, I would recommend and revisit.

Take time to look at the paintings, photographs and mounted fish in the restaurant and bar area, including HRH Queen Elizabeth II wearing a Maori sash. Then turn and look out through the stained glass windows onto the spacious verandah, pick a table, and order their excellent wine or cider on tap along with best calamari I have ever tasted.

Gorgeous hotel/Bar/ Reataurant. Built in the 1800’s . One of the oldest hotels in NZ

Fantastic view looking out to the water.

We were lucky to see Dolphin not far out,, while sitting have a glass of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, nibbles and sun setting .

Good selection of Alcholic and non alcholic drinks. Meals available.

Love just sitting and admiring the view and atmosphere after exploring Russell.

A must see

Up market but relaxed. Cunard’s Queen Mary was in the bay and restaurant was very busy. We both had chicken Caesar salad and was perfect, wines all NZ wines and modestly priced ($50) Sav Blanc.
