We had a fantastic evening in upstairs function room at Catfish Thai. The food was extraordinary. Staff were very good offering clear descriptions of our menu.
Highly recommend this venue as business or other function.

Have been several times to Catfish Thai and have even had many take aways- if you are feeling down, the take away will chase away those blues!
The food is amazingly intricate and has always been absolutely superb, I cannot rate it highly enough.
We have celebrated several family events there and have always found the atmosphere congenital, the staff knowledgable and happy, I have already commented on the food.
I am really really sad to hear it will be closing in June. The new restaurant sounds great, but this one has been fantastic.
If you have not already been, go now!

We love coming up from Melbourne to this lovely little restaurant. The food is just superb and the flavours leave a real zing in your mouth......yummo! We had the tasting plates and it was so nice to get a few little tastes of different things...we loved them all! We then had a curry which was a beef one and so delicious...also had the larb which had a nice amount of spice in it. Great wine list as well...very enjoyable afternoon.

A modern take on Thai cuisine, yep they've nailed it. Innovative, bright, fresh, beautifully presented and many delightful surprises and a few disappointments, this restaurant would be a good choice for that special occasion. Friendly crisp service from Australian staff could not be faulted, with each course explained, they really take pride in what they're doing here. That's the good news. The bad news is it's really expensive so be prepared, you will leave lighter than when you came in. The wine list took my breath away :( with a $55 riesiing being the entry level wine, rapidly increasing with most wines being in the $70 - $80+ mark per bottle!!!!!!!! We opted for the banquet @ $100 per head!
Many small delightfully surprising courses, beautifully presented, the trouble is that once the light faded it was difficult to appreciate just how attractive the presentation really is, and the signature flavour behind most of the dishes was Vietnamese mint and coriander, a bit heavy handed. I wouldn't usually be so critical but at 100 bucks a head I think it's justified. But all said, we enjoyed the meal and the experience. The banquet will fill you up nicely :) and the finale, dessert platter was superb. Personally, I'd avoid the banquet, and leave plenty of room for dessert, which was excellent though by the time it came we were really spiced out and full.
There was a very very long wait between the small street food courses and the mains as they were really being run off their feet, so expect delays on a busy night.

This restaurant's food is light years from Pad Thai! The chefs have thought hard about what is distinctive about Thai cuisine and then blended this with various dishes to create food that is world-class. We have eaten in top restaurants in London, New York, Paris, Rome, Lisbon, Barcelona, and Catfish Thai could rival any of them. The drink list is extensive, and complements the food - set menu and a la carte. The food is quite reasonably priced. Our only (minor) gripe is that we did not see the rice, which is served with the mains, listed on the menu, and so we assumed that it must have been included - rather than priced at $3.75 per person. One serve would have sufficed for both of us. It was a brilliant meal which demonstrated food artistry at its best.
