We have had a fantastic three night stay at Hunter Valley Resort. This is a very laid back, relaxing place with wonderful country surroundings. The room was large and clean with a very comfortable bed. The view was so calm and peaceful with many birds, kangaroos and beautiful sunrises. We enjoyed walking around the grounds, swimming in the pool and visiting the farm yard. The restaurant is a pleasant surprise with friendly staff and good food. We enjoyed hiring the electric bikes for a pleasant ride along the cycle path on Hermitage Road.
I would recommend this as the perfect place to stay in the Hunter Valley if you are after comfort and country charm.

I booked a non cancellable night during COVID lockdown and unfortunately our date was before lockdown ended. Management were very accommodating and allowed me to lock in another date post lockdown. That done the place is very good, close to everything. Room is big and bed is very comfortable. Staff were very good to offer suggestions and places to go. Will be staying again next time I come to the Hunter Valley.

Visited here on a number of occasions over the years. Booked to visit for a few nights from 5 November 2021, but unfortunately had to cancel about 3 weeks in advance. Was told that we could get full refund less $20 admin charge. Still waiting for our money. Told it could take another 2 months from now… Accounts department can only process refunds up to $1500 per day?? Very poor excuse. Speak to your bank. If you have to cancel, don’t expect your money back from this business in a timely manner. Appreciate that times have been tough, but will we book to visit again? Absolutely not. Extremely poor experience.
