Great sculptures. One really said story attached to one of them, where the artist could not finish it, as his baby daughter had died. So sad.

You could combine the visit with the Sculptures as both are covered in the one entry. As we wanted to see the sculptures at sunset, we chose two separate visits, and glad we did as sensory overload could be a possibility combing both, not to mention over exposure to the May wind. The park is well layed out with varying inclines, mostly friendly. Paths are easy to follow and overall you get an appreciation of what a desert really is.

This is a famous spot and one sculpture has been used many times in advertisements for Broken Hill and NSW tourism.

We did what was suppose to be a floral walk and no flowers just a track (no flowers ) past a scrap materials dump ... the view as we climbed was great so thatwa sgood .

The main draw card is the sculptures which are mostly unfinished and of poor quality art wise . . It is suggested one go at sunset for best viewing but the light is all wrong at that time for photographing .

About 7.5 km out along nine mike road to park. Cost $6 per person (camoing $10 per person) You can either drive or walk 1.2 km (about 20 minutes) bit of a steep incline both ways. Great views at tge top of the hill of sculptures and of distant Broken Hill. There is a camp site (tents and caravans) at bottom of hill. Nice flat and spacoius sites ( no power or water) nicely maintained on site toilets and showers (also disabled) Two gas fired BBQs. No anikmals No fires.
