It took us a while to finalise our bookings as there were some negative reviews on Trip Advisor that sowed seeds of doubts in our minds. But having talked to the entire party we decided to book 3 superior cabins (SF1 to 3 ) for the long weekend.

We knew that from Sydney it will be a fair drive but that was no deterrent. And when we did arrive, we were greeted by smiling faces at reception and the resort was great.

The cabins were well kept and the cabins where we stayed were all in pretty good nick. We were right across the tennis courts and the pool which was quite handy as we are an active bunch who cannot sit still for long periods of time.

We ventured out to the beach right across the park and had enough time to snorkel. I was only there for a short period of time and did not get to see much except for small stingray that was just lying in wait for any unsuspecting fish.

At close to the end of the day, you will see a lot of dog owners walking their beloved dogs on the beach. Had a nice chat with a lady who owned a couple of Great Danes and boy oh boy - these Great Danes are a sight to behold.

We also went to Casey beach which was just a short 7-minute stroll from the resort. This beach had gentle waves and a good place to catch the sunset or just laying around.

And a few minutes drive up the road is Surf Beach. This one had a lot more people but not too much to make the beach really crowded. We walked to the left of the beach (towards Denham Beach) and took in the sights and sounds of the beach and surf.

It was a great place to visit and best of all - the weather held up for the entire long weekend.

Fair warning though, the trip back to Sydney was a pretty long one due to the "holiday traffic". My advise is to take the Kings Highway (via Braidwood) instead and hit the M5 back to Sydney. Might be a quicker way back.... maybe...

Distance and traffic is not a deal breaker as far as I'm concerned as the town and the resort are both great.

I booked this last minute over the Easter Holidays. I stayed on an unpowered grass site, and it was really lovely with enough space for a big tent, car and room to sit around. The service of the staff was really great as well. I would recommend anyone camping there.

was only staying for one night..and boy am I glad about that!!!! booked in to a cabin..it was terrible...had not been renovated since the seventies by the look of the décor!!!, it smelled of damp and mustiness, had no air con just a fan, the shower leaked..it just was not nice. went for a happy hour which was pleasant but ordered a take away meal which the chef was most reluctant to provide. In the morning went to the rubbish bins to deposit rubbish and I couldn't get near it for maggots!!!!. never again!!!

Beautiful park to stay in, was there for 6 nights in my own motorhome with an ensuite site that was very cleaned when we arrived. Plenty of bird life (feathered type) that sit outside of your door with droopy eyes. The park also has a restaurant on site if you do not feel like cooking, did try and was enjoyable. The park is only 10 minutes from the heart of Batemans Bay CBD and also from Mogo with shops and zoo.

We stayed one night on a motorhome ensuite site and then came back a few days later to spend four nights in the pet friendly cabin. We rated both experiences a 4 ouf of 5.

The ensuite sites are level drive-through sites with concrete slabs surrounded by well maintained green green grass. The ensuite was clean and the water pressure good and hot.

The pet friendly cabin - appropriately numbered K9 - is at the bottom corner of the park and overlooks a small lake (unfortunately the lake is still clogged with noxious weed that is slowly being erradicted). The dead-end location is great for pets.

The park has an onsite licenced restaurant and we were able to dine in the outside area with our two dogs.
