We enjoyed winding down here with the excellent company of friendly bartender Robert, who made good wine suggestions AND concocted martinis just the way we like them.
Cocktails before dinner or something more relaxing afterwards always helped the day along to a comfortable close, after a busy time of "getting to know" Queenstown on our first visit here.
We liked the ambience, with its bold colors and comfortable seating, especially the plush, generously-sized seats at the bar, but the whole place had a cozy, low-key kind of feel that we found very appealing.
About those martinis. We were pleased to learn from Robert about "The Source" gin made locally at the Cardrona Distillery. We enjoyed it so much that we went to the distillery for a tour and tasting. Robert was well-informed about things to do and see in the area, and we enjoyed chatting with him, plus learned things we hadn't known that ending up making our visit even more fun, the visit to Cardrona being one example.
So, to put it succinctly: thanks for the memories.
