Azur Lodge was a delight from start to finish. A short way out of Queenstown up on the hill with stunning views across the lake. Each villa is angled in a way that you have complete privacy from the room & the terrace. Supremely comfortable bed, excellent bathroom with spa tub & a delightful lounge area with fire. The main lodge was welcoming with yummy breakfasts, afternoon cakes & canapés with pre dinner drinks. The staff recommend places to eat in town or will happily deliver & set up a take out meal in the room. Everyone we met was friendly & wanted us to enjoy our stay. Cannot recommend Azur Lodge highly enough!

Absolutely the most amazing place we've ever stayed, the Azur is a collection of villas on a secluded hillside facing the lake and mountains beyond just on the outskirts of Queenstown. We've never stayed at a place with this level of service from dining reservations, to transportation arrangements to unloading and unpacking our luggage for us in the five minutes it took to walk from the lobby through the gathering hall and out to our cabin. We were gobsmacked and that was just in the first few minutes after arriving. It just kept getting better from there as we had whatever-we-wanted in place of a menu for breakfast and a fridge stocked with local delicacies. We seriously couldn't get over the service or the views! The bathroom was a truly special experience with a free-standing tub in front of a huge window that opened to the outdoors giving uninterrupted views of the lake and mountains. Can't rave enough about this place.

Four days at Azur in magnificent surroundings and being attended to by the charming young men and women from different parts of the globe just has to be the ultimate experience! Everything you could possibly wish for is provided, nothing is too much trouble and done with a smile and a minimum of fuss. Whether it be an airport transfer, a ride in or out of town, a cup of coffee, a suggestion for an activity, a walking track map,a restaurant, it is all professionally handled. Breakfasts are literally" whatever u fancy", afternoon tea treats are freshly made each day as are pre dinner canapés. Comfortable beds, great showers and beautifully appointed rooms , what more could one ask for.... and its all here at Azur.

Another late review for May 2016.

Views at the lodge are spectacular and so are the rooms.
Service, so, so. Sometimes good, lots of mistakes in our booking which resulted on missing a jet boat ride n embarrassing moment when we told we had been provided the wrong voucher for our Milford trip. Forced friendliness at times which was quite obvious.
Breakfast n canapes are delish n top notch! Some sort of guidance for breakfast would be nice especially for those not morning ppl.
Situated a little away from town but they provide a driver to take u in n out of town. They also provide delivery dinner service for a surcharge. Overall nice for a one off.

Hi,

I am glad our villas, breakfast, canapes and views impressed you. Unfortunate that our service did not. If you would like to email us with your reservation name we can look into what happened with your activities, it is usually a very simple process for us to book an activity, voucher it and give guests the details like pick up time.
We are extremely flexible with breakfast, some people know exactly what they like and we make sure we have those foods and some morning the chefs are learning new dishes which guests have requested. When guests would like inspiration we love talking people into trying Maria's sweets for breakfast like her crepes with nutella, french toast, pancakes with blueberries. Sam and Ane make the best eggs benedict, omelettes, eggs any style, meats from the Arrowtown butchery with all the sides! It's not our holiday so we aren't making rules.

I hope you return one day so we can make sure your stay in perfect!

Best wishes,

Danielle

We leave tomorrow sad to say.The level of service is pretty much unmatched. The personal chef makes breakfast to order that is served in your room or the the really nice common rooms.Elvis the little dog is around to greet you at the door. They drive you to town etc. Please have them drop you at Vknow the neighborhood restaurant to get a taste of the local food and drink....plus you can pet the waitresses border collie puppy.
