The Azur lodge is my favourite accomodation of all time and has changed the way I'll make decisions when I'm choosing where to stay.
The lodge is gorgeous with gorgeous views and a sweet little dog Elvis. There's a dining room, a reception lounge room and a main lounge room with a roaring fire place where some of the guests gather and chat in the evenings. There's an outdoor fire place too.
The villas are lovely. I have stayed in bigger fancier villas and not had a better time. There's a gas fire in the room, comfy sofa, balcony area, lovely bathroom with large window right in front of the jacuzzi that opens out looking over a gorgeous view of the water and snow capped mountains. You can sit there and open the windows and enjoy the contrast of the steaming hot bath with the cold crisp air from outside. And the bathroom tiles are heated which is a lovely touch.
So all of that is well and good but here are the things that really makes this place stand out.
- complimentary wifi everywhere
- complimentary mini bar (chocolates, crisps, nuts, non-alcoholic drinks), frequently restocked
- complimentary continental and hot breakfast. No hot breakfast menu - you name your hearts desire and it's made for you- and it's delicious
- complimentary afternoon tea (coffee tea sweet treats)
- complimentary alcoholic drinks after 5pm and delicious canapés, different every day....The Azur lodge is my favourite accomodation of all time and has changed the way I'll make decisions when I'm choosing where to stay.

Also, if you want room service or to eat in the lodge you can choose from the menus of a range of local restaurants and they will deliver to the lodge and staff set up a beautiful table for you.
Every time we left our villa we came back to it being beautifully serviced again.
I've been having such a wonderful time here. Absolutely love it and highly recommend it to anyone whose looking to feel welcomed, well taken care off and like you're 1000% getting your money's worth.More
