We stayed at this motel twice. First night at the beginning of our 10-day trip and the last night before we left for Sydney on our way back home in Boston. Amross Court Motor Lodge has a great location. It took us only 20 minutes to get there from the airport. It has ample parking. The owner/manager Lee is a wonderful host. She was very helpful, gave us electrical adaptors for NZ which we didn't have and, knowing that we'll be back in 10 days, even allowed us to take them to use for the whole trip. That was very fortunate as we had two phones, iPad and a camera to charge every night. The rooms are very spacious, had everything we needed. Lee was very apologetic about all the studios being on the second floor but that was not a problem at all. Keep in mind that a famous Pedro's House of Lamb is only 200 meters from the Lodge.
The Motor Lodge is very close to the Botanical Garden and a short drive to downtown.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Room Tip: Rent a 1BD unit if you don't want to climb the stairs (easy).

We stayed on two occasions at this motel both times we received a warm welcome. the owner was very friendly. The rooms were great loads of space and everything you need while away from home
Close to the city centre and easy to find from the Airport would look to book again if we return.

Room Tip: ground floor rooms better if you have childeren or are on the older side

This was a beautiful facility with the friendliest, hard working staff I have ever had the pleasure of staying with! Spotless room with beautiful grounds, close to almost all the things that I wanted to see and do in Christchurch. My room was kept spotless and fresh. Would definitely recommend!!

Room Tip: The WIFI was spotty but that was because I had a front corner studio and was probably furthest from router. As another note, the front can be a little noisy from the street traffic which didn't bother me but you might want to consider.

The owner of this hotel is very very helpful and very informative. And the hotel is located in a perfect place within a few distance from the city center. I really love this hotel. We will definitely come back again in the future when we visit here again. Highly recommend to everyone!

We stayed there for 2 nights.
We got a free upgrade to a larger room on the lower floor, which was nice, as the top floor have only stairs to climb and with back problems it would have been more difficult.
The room was very large , clean and quiet no problems.
The host was very welcoming and helpful with any directions we wanted..
There are some restaurants nearby but most were closed in the evening but there is a fast food round the corner or a short drive to many other restaurants & city centre.
Free Wi fi was also very good..
