Ideally located 2 mins to Wharfs (bars and restaurants) and 10 mins to Te Papa. 5 mins ($10) by taxi to Interislander terminal.
Typical Ibis hotel. Easy checkin and out, clean, rooms a little on small side. Ideal for 1 or nights. Overall good value for money. No wifi in rooms. Coffee, tea etc provided in rooms.

Stayed: March 2018, traveled as a couple
Thank Martin B

We are enjoyed our stay in Ibis, yes, it is Ibis, do not expect a great view etc. as this is more to business type of hotel, value for money.

Yet, the room is very clean, great location, in our experience that days, easy to get street parking, and they also have their own carpark (pretty good daily rate).

People in there are nice. To us, it's pretty cozy.
For my first time visiting Wellington overnights, Ibis gave a good experience.

Decent hotel with reasonable price in the heart of Wellington. Just one block from city centre where all the shops are located. Room is a bit small for 4 people though so bear in mind if you are visiting in a group.

I stayed here for one night when I was in Wellington for work. Most aspects of the hotel were good. I had a room with two double beds. The room was a good size, the bed I slept in was good, the shower was good and the breakfast selection was very good.

I was shocked to find free WiFi is in the lobby and restaurant only. In room WiFi options started from $10.00 for a day. This is 2018 at a hotel in the middle of a capital city. I would expect one star accomodation to have free in room WiFI.

Not prepared to pay for WiFi, I turned on the TV to find the picture was poor quality plus it only offered four free to air channels, a movie channel and a sports channel. This hotel is good for showering and sleeping but they don't want you to access the internent or watch TV.

check in quick and efficient both times we stayed (over a period of 4 weeks we stayed here twice) - good location in centre of Wellington yet still quiet. Carparking $25 which can be pre-booked, recommended as not many parks. Room clean (we stayed on lower levels, floors 2 and 4 from memory. Small bathroom. only niggles were no shower cap provided and on a persona note didn't like the grey and orange colour scheme but all in all a good stay and my husbands preferred hotel in Wellington

Room Tip: 229 was quiet as at end of hall
