Rotorua Lake is one of biggest lake in North Island. Rotorua town is located at south end of this lake. We visited lake shore located near the town.
View was breathtaking and a must to do activity. Shore was clean and beautiful; glorious walking path with view of mountains, your morning can't be better

It’s one of the most beautiful thing to see, but the sandflies can be annoying. So I highly recommend having insect repellant with you.
