Me and my husband stayed a night up in Paihia recently.We walked around looking for a place that we'll was open and looked like they had a good vibe.We were hungry so stopped at Rayz on the Bayz as it's located central and you have a view of the ocean from the main road where it's situated.I was dying for a burger but sadly they didn't do them at the time we wanted which was a bummer.So we ordered there seafood platter which was probably the only thing that we could see on the menu that we would love.Im glad we did cause it was delicious fresh fresh fish crispy crumbed batter prawns and squid and mussels were delicious.Very fresh well done and enough for myself and partner to share together with our chips.We had a Heineken which was nice and cold.Overall a good atmosphere there lady very polite.Would go there again.Was abit pricey for the platter but I guess all seafood platters small or large are pricey.

We were staying next door and went to Rayz for awesome fish and chips. They also had the rugby on so my husband was very happy.

We enjoyed lunch and a drink here, the menu simple but adequate, also available home made pies. The location overlooking the bay was great, the food very good and the service quick and friendly

We visit Paihia at least 3-4 times a year and when ever visit we always go to Rayz on the Bay. It's always humming with people, music and good food. Staff are all very friendly and welcoming. One in particular always recognizes us and treats us as locals.
