I had booked in 3 people to the Econo Lodge to stay for 4 nights. Rooms are very small so i would be mindful bringing suitcases if you are more than one person in the room. Rooms were clean and tidy. Only feedback i got was that a small fridge would be great when spending more than a couple of nights.
The communal areas are big and airy. Location is perfectly central!

Would happily book guests here again. But not busniness travellers who could do with private workspace...this place was recommended to me by a corporate travel agent.

This hotel is in an excellent location and an easy walk anywhere in the main down town Auckland region. The staff are excellent at this hotel as well. The rooms are nothing fancy at all and are very tiny. If you are looking for a couple nights over in a good location and good price and do not mind the cramped quarters then this is a great spot.

Never staying here gain, 1st room I was given was on the 6th floor, small cheap, no air con and could not open the windows, in fact so small I could not walk round the bed with my case in the room, checked out last minute rooms no joy, so rang down and was moved to a much better room on the 2nd floor, heaps better but a cheap bed, silly wifi policy and really q backpackers hostel at best if you want good location and cheap go for it

Room tip: None are good

Its a low budget motel pure and simple. Beyond the fact the rooms are extremely small and basic my stay was a horrific nightmare beyond belief. After a week I am still recovering from that one night stay.

Our room was super tiny - so much so that the clerk asked if we wanted to store our luggage upon check-in. There was no air circulation as 3 or 4 windows were screwed shut permanently. The 4th window opened on an angle about 15 inches. Their remedy for this was to provide a small (12") fan which had super dusty fan blades. ICK! At night, a woman was sitting on the outside steps, chain smoking so the lobby smelled like cigarette smoke. The clerk didn't ask her to leave. They provide a measly 100 mb of data to use in your room and they charged for use of the guest computers. The W/D were overpriced at $5 each per load. Big mistake on my part to book this overpriced room.
