I tend to agree with the more poor reviews on here. There's just not something right about this hotel - I think it's the management and the training of their employees. It's like they just don't care. Issues repeatedly with housekeeping not coming when requested, mini bar not being filled, or them banging on the door at 8 am when we have our do not disturb on saying they need to fill the mini bar, issues with valet (trying to overcharge us), etc. the balcony above us - whoever stayed there smoked like chimneys and dumped it all on our balcony so we couldn't go outside because of course housekeeping wouldn't clean the balcony. It just felt like it was a never ending cycle of small irritating issues that would never be fixed. I think there are better places to stay in Auckland and I advise looking into those. The only good thing about this place is the location.

Second time here, it is almost boutique, the fixtures and fittings are tasteful and not like standard hotel chains. Sitting right on the waters edge it seems bright and cheerful, as are the staff. Add that French flair and this place is one of Auckland best.
Easy walk to many of Auckland waterfront restaurants. We live in Auckland and we come here for a night away from home!

Room Tip: Request a sea view, but costs more

Stayed in a marina view room for one night. Room was beautiful spotlessly cleaned and very 5 star. View of marina and the city lights was beautiful. Location was easy walk to all the restaurants at the viaduct but far enough away from all the noise. Breakfast and service was excellent. Definitely my top place to stay in Auckland city from now on.

We stayed one night in a double room in this lovely hotel. The whole hotel looked very nice and luxury. Our room was really big and very comfortable and had a huge king size bed. The bathroom was also large with a shower and a bath. We had a small balcony facing part of the harbour and the opposite house. There was also a Nespresso maker with free coffee tabs in our room. The hotel has a spa with an indoor pool and a gym. The pool was big enough to have a swim. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was excellent. They have a buffet and an a la carte breakfast and you really get everything you wish for. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpful. The location is great - you are right at the harbour and all the sights are within walking distance. It is about 10 minutes walk to Skytower. Near the hotel we found some nice restaurants. We will definately stay here again.

Very large, comfortable room with huge bed. Equally large bathroom with great shower and products. All spotless.

Hotel has Spa, pool and gymn, plus restaurant for those wanting to eat in, and a bar for a late night-cap.

The hotel is located in a small business district, opposite the local Microsoft office. So not necessarily great views to wake up to. Plus there were construction works going on next door, with the accompanying noise starting at around 7:30 during the week (we were there on a monday night). However, it located within a short walking distance from the harbour, with its night life, restaurants and bars, plus ferries to Waiheke and Davenport.

Room Tip: Whilst the buidling works are on-going, avoid north (I think) facing rooms.
