Stayed here for two nights my husband was in hospital so I stayed here because of the fact it wasnt far from the hospital he was staying at. It was old but clean, staff were lovely the food was average. I didnt like the bathroom floor as it became extremely slippery when wet the night before my husband went into hospital my husband slipped over and went for a 6. There is no screens on windows so bugs or anything can get in when you have a window open.

Stayed: January 2018, traveled solo

Dear Katnat2006,

Thank you very much for your feedback on your recent stay.

I hope that your husband is doing very well and am sorry to hear that he slipped in the bathroom. Fortunately, he did not hurt himself.

Your encouraging comments on the staff will be shared shortly as well as the feedback on the restaurant food items, the slippery bathroom floor and absence of fly screens which have been taken on board for further corrective actions.

Wishing you both the very best healthwise and looking forward to welcoming you soon,

Kind regards

Rooms are very small, bathrooms are tiny. Room was clean. Feels more like a back packer hotel. Very budget and over priced for what it is.

We checked out on Sunday morning and went home, we left an item in the shower on the soap holder, and contacted the hotel by both phone and email and they said there was nothing left behind. I know for a fact I left it there. It was an item that was worth more than the nightly room rate. Its not in any of our bags. The bad thing is that I stayed at the Sullivans in Sydney many years ago, and the same thing happened their as well. Be careful not to leave anything behind at this hotel, you will never see it again.

Room Tip: The rooms on the front of the building would have river views.

Dear Jai B,

Thank you for taking the time to post a review on your recent stay at Sullivans Hotel.

I regret that the Standard King room you booked online was not up to your standard but I am delighted that you mentioned its cleanliness. That’s a credit to our housekeeping team doing a fantastic job for nearly three decades.

Indeed if, after your check in, we were made aware of the fact that the Standard King room (17m2) was too small for your convenience, we would have offered you a much larger one, namely a Deluxe King Room (31m2) with balcony and city/park views.

However, I am very sorry to hear about the fact that you have lost a valuable item, according to you, during your stay with us. Albeit disappointed by the unfounded accusation on our staff stealing guests’ properties, I do understand your frustration in not finding a cherished object or item.

According to our records, your partner reported the lost item on Tuesday morning, i.e., 48 hours after your check out on Sunday. As mentioned by our Front Office Supervisor during this phone conversation, there were no left items reported by our housekeeping staff upon check out.

Please remain assured that there are strict policies in place at all levels including housekeeping procedures as well as lost property procedures. Every room is thoroughly serviced by well trained and trustworthy housekeeping staff members. The latter cannot be held responsible or accused of theft without hard evidence.

We pride ourselves on giving excellent customer service in all areas for the past 28 years and fully trust our team members until proven otherwise.

I really hope that you will be able to find your lost item soon.

Wishing you the very best and remaining at your disposal for any further assistance,

Kind regards

My partner and i stayed in this hotel for one night at the start of our 2 week trip to WA from the UK. Via booking.com this hotel was easy to check in at the desk (requiring I.d. and a credit/debit card for verification). Greeted by a lovely receptionist we were given the keys and directions to our room. Located on the 3rd floor we had a standard double room - with a complimentary chocolate, tea making facilities and beautiful cold air con !! This room was more than adequate for what we paid for. Only think I would say is that it could be a little more updated :) . Other than that, the location is great in getting into Perth via the bus stop outside the hotel.

Stayed here for one night as a couple in which it was an OK stay. Friendly staff and quick check in however, in some desperate need of modernisation. Location was good with a bus stop outside or a short walk into town. Probably would look elsewhere if to stay in the same location.

Good points:
> Location, as it close to the city centre, bus stop and park.
> Friendly staff with quick check in
> Good sized rooms with powerful AC

Points to improve:
> Hotel in need of desperate modernisation with most areas looking worn down (i.e. lift doors squealed like mad when doors opened and closed!) Bedroom and en-suite felt outdated.
> Bathroom seemed to have raised area when walking into. I nearly fell over and face planted the bathroom floor!
> Breakfast was a little too pricey and cheaper to get bus and eat in town.

Stayed here for 5 nights and found the location great. Our room had a balcony and was spacious and clean, breakfast was good and had a meal in the restaurant . Friendly staff at reception and restaurant. Free wifi and having the option to use the bus at no cost outside the hotel to city centre was good, equally the walk through the park opposite was pleasant.
