Came here on part of tour. Beautifully maintained area, grass like putting green! They have a touching ANZAC memorial with an eternal flame and tall monument. It has a great view of harbor. Lots of bird life and exotic plants. Nice place.

The views of the city and the magnificent Swan River from the botanic gardens were absolutely fantastic.

Kings Park is a free park that overlooks the city of Perth and the Swan River. It is huge with lots of things to see and do. If you like to do bush walks you could easily spend the whole day meandering around the park, doing the tree top walk, the nature walks or letting the kids play in one of the many playgrounds.
If you are short of time then I think the best option is to arrive about an hour before the sunsets so that you can get the views of the city and river during the day. Have a picnic or dinner in one of the cafes (provided they are open) and then stay to see the city night lights.

On our final day in Perth we went to the botanic garden and were blown away by the size and beauty of it. It is so well maintained and there is plenty of shade and places to sit and have a picnic. We were so fascinated by all of the native plants and trees and it was a wonderful day spent walking around with a great view of the Swan River on the walk bridge. Highly recommend.

As a party of three friends, we visited Kings Park & Botanic Gardens. It’s a wonderful oasis on the edge of an interesting city. The planting is done in areas representing different states of Australia. Mixed amongst the plants and trees are memorials to individuals as well as to whole forces. The Anzac Memorial is particularly poignant. The views over Perth and the surrounding area are phenomenal. Excellent place to visit.
