I’ve stayed at other Oaks properties in Melbourne and have never had any issues. Unfortunately for this location, it wasn’t the case.
Firstly, good luck with the car park, it’s barely big enough for a bike to drive up there.
The lifts take an unbearable amount of time to stop on your floor, so leave an hour earlier.
We had to upgrade to a sky high apartment as I am recovering from a knee injury and can’t do the shower in the bath at the moment, yes that’s right I had to pay to upgrade because of an injury. The hot water was intermittent.
There were stains all over the carpet, bird poo all over the balcony that was miserable and uninviting. Dead flies on top of our shower that we told staff about yet nothing was done about.
Our kitchen was so small we could both barely fit and utensils, cups etc had not been cleaned properly. I called reception and advised we would be checking out a night early because we just couldn’t stay any longer and asked for a partial refund. The female I spoke to just said no it’s pre paid so no ok, before I could say anything she had hung up.
Pentridge Prison would have been more comfortable. Oh and be careful not to trip over all the homeless people as you leave.
