In October 2006, the four directors joined together to form MAdE Establishment, and opened their first venue, The Press Club Restaurant and Bar. This began a new era for George Calombaris and cemented his place as a culinary star for his Modern Greek Cuisine - never seen before Melbourne; where modern twists to traditional Greek cuisine has put this restaurant on the global map and has diner's wanting more. The Press Club seats 38 guests in individual booths. Next door to The Press Club at 52 Flinders Street, is Press Club - Projects, George Calombaris' creative and development kitchen. This space can be booked privately for up to 8 guests and offers a completely interactive experience as the chefs experiment with new dishes to make the menu in The Press Club.

We opted for the 5 course tasting menu which is made fresh daily to market produce.

Each course was magnificent and and staff members were fantastic in explaining the heritage and meaning behind the idea for the food.

The decor was warm and inviting, perfect to escape a cold Melbourne night.

What a way to spend a Saturday night. Well done Press Club you well and truely exceeded our expectations. We had the 8 course degustation menu and it was fantastic complimented by great Greek wine recommended by the brilliant sommelier wine expert. Not many restaurants can get front of house as good as their food but the Press Club has blended both of these to create a brilliant dining experience. Do yourself a favour and go along for the experience you will not be disappointed - well done George Calombaris your team should be congratulated on a great dining experience.. thank you.

We visited the Press Club a couple of nights ago, it definitely exceeded our expectations.
We opted for the 5 course tasting menu, and we are so glad we did. Not only was the food exquisite but the waiter was incredibly knowledgeable about every meal and quite personable. We were the first to try the ocean trout meal - it was one of my favourites, the first course (potato and truffle dish) was incredible.
All in all it was an amazing evening which i would make sure to come again. Thank you to all the staff who made this night as pleasurable as it was.

Went to celebrate my wife's retirement this week and were hoping for something very special. The Press Club did not disappoint.
Right from the start the service was impeccable with friendliness, respect, knowledge as well as a sense of fun.
We opted for the eight course degustation menu and all dishes were "wow" in their presentation, flavours and creativity.
The wine list was extensive, catering for all tastes.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was intimate and comfortable.
On all accounts the evening was exceptional and George Calombaris and his team are to be congratulated.

Five of us met up to experience this now famous Melbourne restaurant. The degustation menu made easy ordering and was a taste sensation...a little more colour and use of unusual salad vegetables would have improved the appeal we felt.

Service was excellent..such carefully prepared dishes deserve an explanation. Wine list is huge and many wines are available by the glass. We like that.

The decor is unique,loved the ceiling!

A beautiful dinner.
