We arrived late to this hotel after the footy on Friday night, and checked in via the keypad as their check in hours ended at 7pm. Upon arrival, the room looked nice. But when we looked further, we were horrified at the condition that housekeeping had left this room in. We should have known this by the way there were stains in the hallways as we walked up to our room.
We opened the fridge to get out milk to have a cup of tea, and were shocked to find an already opened carton of milk from the previous people.
Next, in the morning, we went to have a shower and in the light of day saw hairs in the bathtub and on the sink. Mound surrounded the bath tub and glass wall. There was no bar of soap, and somebody’s already used bar of soap was still in the soap holder.
I called reception and asked for a new milk and new bar of soap, and was told somebody would be up at 9am (I called at 8:30am, when reception opened).
Pretty poor that we have to wait until 9am to have a cup of tea and a shower, considering we have to check out at 10am.
Never staying here again.

Our first time at this side of Melbourne CBD. Quiet location opposite a park.
On site parking and spacious room for a family of 3.
Good customer service, checked in a few times on our arrival time, which was helpful given we got stuck in traffic.
Really helpful staff particularly given our son was unwell.
Only feedback would be if you book for 3 please provide enough towels. Also a washing up cloth or brush would be useful.

We were looking for a well priced motel and stayed here during the 'Ashes Cricket'. Nice clean room, great location. We were able to easily walk to the MCG and was also close walking distance to the City.

Our Superior King Suite was comfortable, clean and spacious. Reasonable price for Melbourne in Grand Prix week.
One chair and one desk and chair for two people. The kitchenette is a worktop and microwave with a kettle and toaster - no cooking utensils and had to wash up in the tiny bathroom sink. Fridge is just the previous minibar so tiny and not very efficient. Clearly not encouraging self-catering. There is a small room on the ground floor where breakfast is available to buy but did not try this so can't comment.
Laundry is free but locked from 7pm to 9am.
Staff very polite and helpful.
Wifi was frustrating - frequently unable to log on and dropped out regularly. Raised with staff who could not do anything. Aircon similar.
Parking available at back of hotel but limited availability and tight spaces so book if you know you need it.

We loved the location as could walk into the city and to MCG in 20 minutes and trams run into city on road behind. Other side of centre from Skybus but we saved paying airport tax by getting tram, train and bus
($5 each one way rather than $19.50 and cost of taxi from Southern Cross!)

Went to Melbourne for a family function. Booked late. It was White Night AND Chinese New Year. Nothing around in Melbourne for a one night stay - they all wanted at least a two night booking.
THEN I discovered this Comfort Inn. Somehow I had an image of an old motel with dated furnishings and the smell of stale cigarettes.
Sorry Comfort Inn. Nothing could be further from the truth! Pristine, spacious room, comfortable bed, and welcoming friendly helpful staff. Plus on site parking (and if that was full they have a 12 dollar discounted parking nearby). They only reserved 50 dollars for the mini bar - which was ultra cheap as well. VERY impressed. AND surprised. AND apologetic Comfort Inn!

Room Tip: All the rooms looked much the same from my quick peek. However the view from the Eastern side was quaint and inviting.
