Its funny we walked into this hotel when we where staying somewhere else to get a meal not knowing it was one of the hotels we where going to stay at..we walked inside and nobody was there to serve us..no customers no staff..no atmosphere..no nothing. Can you imagine the horror that overcame us to discover it was our accomodation later on in our trip. The rooms reminded me of being in a prison in the deadest street in Hobart. The bathrooms where clean. The rooms where clean. Not good if your claustrophobic and get flash backs to your prison days. Massive construction going on next door. When we found staff they where helpfull and friendly. Great place if you like pokies and the brekkie was good.

We dropped in for a bite and a cappuccino - and it was fine , reasonably priced and a nice lady serving us - the rooms were about $ 110 at the time , but it was the 31 of December, so it is possible to get it cheaper other times.

I stayed here for 1 night and really loved it. The location was in the city center, the room was quite big and included a modern bathroom. I also loved the breakfast options they had and ate a delicious omelette. They also have a bar with nice local beers and helpfull staff. I will definately stay here again when I visit Hobart again!

Lives up to the name, it is very central! Easy walk to the shops and waterfront. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast (eggs florentine), clean room, comfy bed. Excellent bang for your schmang. We would happily stay at The Central Hotel again

This small pub/hotel is ideally located. The name says it all. Shopping, restaurants, visits, everything is within walking distance. There's even a taxi stand right on the front door!

The rooms are clean, if a little "lived-in", and the service is excellent. The staff is friendly, professionnal and always ready and willing to help, even if they also have to work the pub at the same time.

The pub, which is pretty quiet and offers a nice selection of beers, closes at 10:30 max, so you don't have to worry about parties ruining your sleep. Other clients were sometimes a bit noisy, but nothing crazy.

They even have a dryer and a washer (4 $ each) at the disposal of the clients.

I really enjoyed my 7-night stay there and I have no problem recommending Central Hotel!
