Indeed, if you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of Macrossan Street and enjoy a home style meal or one of our nightly specials, a cocktail or cool beer with the soft sea breeze the tide will bring you here. Nestled oceanside in the Peninsula Boutique Hotel. Hi Tide looks directly out onto 4 Mile Beach and the Coral Sea. It's cool without being over designed, warm and welcoming without sacrificing a certain sophistication and, well, they have the most amazing cocktail selection.

My wife and I attended for dinner and arrived during the happy hour. We had a couple of cocktails, which were quite nice. The food was good, not great. I had the Seafood Curry on the specials menu, which was $38. The quality of seafood in the curry was pretty average, the curry itself was quite nice. Was it '$38 for a bowl of curry' nice, probably not. My wife had the Fish and Chips. The fish seemed a little overcooked, and was relatively flavorless, while the batter went soft very quickly.
Good, not great. The Port Douglas Tourist tax is definitely added to the price of the food.
The staff were excellent.

Wow what a meal, totally unexpected. On a friend's recommendation we went here for dinner. After a small taster of dips and pita, I ordered the Steak and my partner ordered the Tortellini. Wow, we were both blown away by the quality of the food. An amazing steak up there with the best I have ever had and the Tortellini was light with fantastic flavours. Next was the dessert; Banana and Raspberry Tart. This is a "Banana Carmel Tart" with a lively marshmallow and a gorgeous fairy floss. Once again it was a surprise and was fantastic. We hope to head back soon as the service and food was perfect!

We came here for breakfast.
Nice location, opposite the beach.
The service was fast and efficient, felt a little rushed.
The breakfast we had was good.
We had the one on one.
