We initially booked Tully rafting, but this was cancelled because the road was blocked due to recent flooding. Great customer service in this regard and we were fully refunded. We decided to do the Barron as a but of a 'consolation' and I was worried it wouldn't be as fun, but I was wrong and we had a great time. The rapids were flowing after the recent rain and it turned out to be an action-packed two hours. There were 22 boats on the water that day, so sometimes it took awhile to wait for other boats to come through (we needed to watch for safety reasons); however, this also provided some unplanned entertainment as we could watch others navigate the rapids well (or more often, badly). Our guide Marty was a typical ocker Aussie bloke and certainly made the trip interesting. Will be hoping to come back and raft the Tully with them one day.
