Friends and I went to Watt to have a meal before a show and were very disappointed. Food was very poor quality and expensive for what we received. I had a Beetroot salad which was a few pieces of tasteless Beetroot and a sprinkle of feta cheese on a large plate. Waiter kept telling me how the chef sources only the best Beetroot specifically for this dish etc etc. Chef needs to keep sourcing as the whole thing was rubbish, tasteless and basically a rip off at $16. My friends fared a bit better with finger bar food - at least the chips were nice. Service was very slow despite it being a slow night. In fact we had to ask about 3 times where our good was. It came very late and we had to wrap food in serviettes to take with us into the show. The powerhouse is a great venue but needs much more options in terms of food choices. Watt is definitely not up to standard. It's very lazy in terms of food choices and cost and would never survive in a more competitive environment.

What a wasted opportunity - beautiful setting right on the river next to the iconic Brisbane powerhouse.
As is with many places with a view - the food is often not the reason to go -but why should we accept this? Shouldn't it be about the experience ? That includes food quality , right?
We went for breakfast - the coffee was actually very good ( had a flat white ) and I really enjoy my coffee - however the food was so disappointing.
I ordered the poached eggs with hummus feta and dukka - the eggs were like bullets ( they are supposed to be poached- if you are doing them this way you should ask the customer how'd they like their eggs! )
The hummus underneath was , hopeless - not sure what happened it felt like it had been the last dregs out of the bottom of a barrel ! And that was it! Around $14-16 for that!
It had little flavour and they couldn't even poach an egg right.
Family had the "big" breakfast - they seemed pleased but the bread that came didn't arrive with any butter or jams ( which usually is standard when you get a decent brekky) and it was a bit dry.

Do not go there for what I ordered - go without any expectations - don't expect decent food , go for the drinks including coffee.

Such a shame - a truly wasted opportunity.

Visited the refurbished Watt restaurant for dinner. A new look - more up-to-date and cleaner. Limited menu but what the four of us had was served well and tasted good. Good service but fell off a bit towards the end. Overall, worth a visit. A good relaxed place with great views over the river. Ideal if you are going to something at the Powerhouse.
