Older, but very clean hotel. Convenient to downtown. Public transport is outstanding. Recommend getting bus passes at the 7-11. Hotel immediately across from Botanic Park with interesting wildlife and a playground for children. On Sunday morning there was a great little market in the park. Park leads to walking paths along the river. Excellent buffet breakfast; seems expensive, but compared to other locations you get more than your money's worth.

Room Tip: Rooms face the main street with park across the road, or face back toward downtown.

Got a free upgrade to a superior room with a park view and late checkout. They kept our bags for us. Nice staff. Lovely place. Modern amenities with some old skool style. Great location. Easy drive up access

Located right in the city centre, opposite the Botanic Gardens, this hotel is within easy walking distance to shopping and dining options (lots of them!). City Hall and Museum are a few streets away. Cut across the Botanic Gardens, and it’s an easy walk to the Southbank where some attractions are. Hotel staff are friendly and ready to help. Room is clean and reasonably-sized. Good sleep quality. Will be back again,

We often stay in the city for 1 or 2 nights at a time and usually stay wherever we can get the best deal. This will be our new "come to" hotel provided they stay competitive. The hotel has a welcoming old world charm about it and is located within walking distance to the restaurants at Eagle St Pier. There is easy onsite parking, we paid $33 for overnight Saturday.
The bathrooms have good lighting and the makeup mirror was absolutely fantastic. I usually have to bring one from home as the bathrooms in most hotels are so dimly lit.
Only negatives would be the pillows and there was no full length mirror.
