We arrived later in the day and no koala photo sessions were available. The staff at the koala exhibit were sweet enough to allow our daughter to have a photo taken right as the exhibit was closing. Also highly recommended for all the exhibits, especially the open kangaroo area. Will visit again.

Thank you for your 5 star review. Next time you visit, be sure to also attend our free ‘Meet a Koala’ opportunity at 1pm daily, where you can meet and pat one of our koalas while a keeper holds.

What an amazing place to go and meet Koalas. Great hands on attraction but making sure the Koalas were happy to interact.
€25 to hold the koala with pictures, one to keep and you can take as many as you want in your phone.
They cater for all ages including disabled.
Would definitely recommend going to this place.

Thank Laura O

We took a Miramar boat to Lone Pine. We enjoyed the boat ride and Lone Pine both. Lone Pine's koalas are amazing in the number they have to see, climbing and munching all around. Also, being amongst the kangaroos--so many of them-- is quite amazing. We got some food to feed them, but the kangaroos weren't hungry when we came through. Lots of other animals and birds with seeing and a sheep herding too.

This was unbelievably the best day at a zoo ever. They guarantee that you will hold and take a picture with the Koalas and feed the Kangaroos unlike the big Steve Irwin Zoo.

Advise is to get there before they open at 10, buy your tickets in advance, the line to take the Koala pic is long so get there early. You will be charged $25 or $30 for the picture as a donation to care for the Koalas but it’s well worth it , the staff also take more pic with your iPad and camera for you. Buy food for the Kangaroos at the same time when you buy the Koala pics. If you get there early then after the Koala pic head right away to feed the Kangaroos because they will be hungry and will respond to you rather than later when they are full and sleepy . Explore the rest of the animals at your leisure . Wifi is free and the staff is friendly ...Dont miss this amazing place!!!
