Four friends catching up $50 per person including champagne- scones & mini cakes were dry & stale, sandwiches delicious.
We had to ask the waitress to deliver our cups of tea after our food arrived.
The scones were not made individually.
Our table was never cleared when we finished & we were there for 2 hours.
We were never offered Another cup of tea.
I have been to several high teas & would not return to this on which is a pity as Brisbane Arcade is stunning.
I would go to Kerry Craig Imporium next time.
On a positive note the jam & cream helped the stale dry scones.

A pleasant escape from the hustle, bustle and modern edge to the city. This is a hidden gem that has been there for years. This charming cafe offers seating for small groups and large. Seems like it would be a lovely getaway for small celebrations. We came for coffee and cake in the middle of busy lunch service and were very happy with the excellent service and delightful cakes. The passionfruit sponge is delicious and huge. While the pear and walnut shortcake is fabulous. Excellent coffee too.

I found on arrival staff members were aprehensive ( i felt as if we did not fit in to their type of clinetele). The waiter was nice and pleasent but not overly friendly or helpful. Only thing I wanted to complain about was the hair in the raspberry scone. That was a turnoff. Also I thought for the price proper english crokery would of been a must, also the tea pot was tiny, lucky to get two cups of small tea out of it and the linen seemed a bit old and dated. they had paper serviettes and paper sugar sachets. A bit tacky I thought.

Hadn’t been in a while and noticed that they have taken over one or two additional spaces in their upstairs Adelaide street end of the Brisbane arcade.

Not cheap but the quality is there so value is good.

Very pleasant service too.

I would happily go back - great place to go for a refreshment mid-shop!

Beautifully presented cafe on the first floor of Brisbane Arcade, with lift & stair access. The staff are friendly & welcoming. We visited for lunch & the menu has many light French style items to choose from. Can highly recommend the corn cakes & the side salads are good quality. The cafe is very popular, a unique experience but be prepared to pay for it.
