Made a great choice coming here. I booked probably back in January for this stay late October, and with it not being peak tourism season or school holidays got a great price for a one bedroom apartment with sea views, balcony, and daily breakfast included. There were a heat (cold!) pumps in the bedroom and living area to keep us cool. So good.
I think the location was great, it's not right next to anything of note but it's not far from a lot of stuff, e.g. waterfront, information centre and bus interchange, Mitchell St area and supermarkets, and the southwest strip of parkland that's great to see sunsets from.
Handy tip - closest bottle store is on the side of The Cavenagh Hotel, in a little unnamed lane/driveway between Cavenagh St and Litchfield St. The Litchfield St end is opposite Tim's Surf & Turf, a place you wouldn't normally stumble across and would have checked out if I was staying longer.
