Booked for one night before setting off on a road trip around NT. Perfect way to start by relaxing by the pool and then dinner at the Vue. We had an Ocean View room and this was spacious and relatively quiet with great views.

Review of Mindil Beach Casino Resort

We stayed here for 5 nights. The pool, gardens, casino and restaurants are wonderful, however there are a few issues. The gate into the lagoon pool is quite confusing, you have to swipe your room key to enter, however it’s located away from the gate. Watched multiple people unable to access the pool area after not being able to figure out how to open the gate, a simple resolution would be a sign on the gate. The infinity pool being open to the public whilst the resort is under staffed doesn’t work. Priority should be given to in-house guests, not enough seating and over a 50 minute wait for a drink. Completely understand staff is difficult due to Covid however it’s frustrating to see others who haven’t paid to stay on sun loungers around the pool with a drink in hand whilst you’re unable to. Our room was a connecting one and we were able to hear EVERYTHING from the room next door, from the TV to their conversations crystal clear. Recommend requesting a non-connecting room. Other than that the staff were polite and helpful. When you did finally get your food and drinks they were fantastic in flavour and size.

Beautiful resort . Staff very pleasant and accommodating.
Would stay here again in a heartbeat .
Have the congee for breakfast, you won’t be disappointed .
Cocktails at the swim up bar are limited and a bit pricy but overall it didn’t matter .

Rooms are awesome, swim in swim out for the kids spectacular. But upon check in we were told no 'service would be done for the rooms unless requested'....what for $900 per night??? I did request and it took 3 hours and 4 phone calls to reception. The Wifi didn't work in our room, that was more phone calls, the IT guy finally came down and said it didn't work and problem with the server in the room ??? Never heard from him again.....nor had wifi for the entire stay. Should of been the highlight of our stay in Darwin, but sadly no.
Room tip: We went for the expensive pool side rooms - swim in and out - as on a family vacation... only reason I would ever stay at this place again.

The hotel receptionist was extremely rude and very unaccommodating, I am a darwin local and I would not recommend staying here when there are so many other fantastic establishments in Darwin that would go above and beyond to accomodate you when paying such a premium price.

Hi Jane. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Your experience is certainly not the high level of customer service we strive for and for this we apologize. Your feedback has been passed onto Hospitality Management to ensure this does not occur again. At this point in time, we have only reopened a small number of rooms in one section of our Hotel and do not currently have any availability, which of course is very disappointing and frustrating for guests trying to book ahead. We hope to increase our number of rooms available soon and to be able to fulfil customer requirements in the near future.

Great spot for a chilled Sunday sesh, but go somewhere else if you want a drink.
Que for the bar at the pool is 20 to 30 minutes even just for cans of beer. Only 3x bar staff for an area with between 150 and 200 people most of which are ordering cocktails, and all of the staff look like they are moving in slooow motion. Tried to get drinks at a nearby bar inside but they do not serve anything that can be taken outside.
Real money making potential absolutely wasted. Hit Mitchell street instead.
