Description: Imagine you're in Tokyo dining at an enclave of modern Japanese expression. At the centre of a huge marble bar you watch head chef, Nobuyuki Ura, and his team serenely at work, precisely turning fresh fish into edible works of art. Welcome to sushi e. Adjoining the chic cocktail lounge Hemmesphere on Establishment's fourth floor, Sushi e is one of the few authentic sushi bars in Sydney and enjoys a dedicated following of sushi fans around the world - including Tokyo.

The food and service was 5 Star but a little on the pricy side, considering we didn’t have any alcohol and spent close to $300. Really delicious flavours and a great selection on the menu. The Balmain Bug Roll and Crab Noodles are a must! The only thing to consider is you are seated at a bar and for lunch time on a Friday the ambience was lacking. This is a great place to have a yummy bite to eat but if you are celebrating an anniversary or something special, I would suggest somewhere a bit more intimate.

Our group of five (including a 10 child) had dinner at Sushi e on Thursday to celebrate a birthday.

We sat at the bar enjoying the theatre of our sushi and sashimi being prepared in front of us.

The service was good and food brilliant. Highlights included salmon belly sushi, kingfish sashimi, fried chicken and soft shell crab outside roll.

Having a 10 year old with us was a little bit of a risk, but he really enjoyed the avocado sushi and fried chicken.

The freshness of the food always surprises us on the upside (and we go in with high expectations).

Pricing isn’t cheap (all in was c $450, including a $95 bottle of Champaign), but at least you’re enjoying high quality food!

Eating here put all of our past sushi experiences to shame. Get the crab lettuce roll. Get the snapper sushi. Sit at the bar.

Go here.

We were excited to have some great sushi and sashimi since we were coming from the middle east and we believed the reviews. But, we eat a lot of this around the world and there is no reason to rush here. The fish was average, the presentation was okay, and nothing really stood out as great. The sake was very expensive, so that didn't help the experience, and the best thing about the restaurant is that all the servers are very pleasant and professional. It's very average and didn't make our bloody good eats and drinks @eatdrinknbmarried.com #eatdrinknbmarried

If you are in Sydney and like Japanese food then this place is a must . I don't like soba noodles but my husband ordered the soba noodles with crab and it was amazing . Every dish we had from sushi to tempura was delicious. You can also watch the chefs prepare the dishes and be amazed at their knife skills.
