We were looking for lunch at the Harbourside Shopping Centre and chose some Japanese food and decided to compliment this with some Xiao Long Bao Dumplings which are one of our favourite dumplings. We also wanted our son to try them for the first time.
For those not familiar, they are dumplings that originate from Shanghai and are filled with a pork soup broth. There is definitely an art to eating them otherwise the soup broth exits the dumpling whilst eating them. They generally come with a ginger dipping sauce which was not provided at this restaurant.
Whilst they were pleasant they were far from the best Ive ever tried. Expect a wait of about 15 minutes as they are made fresh.
