Description: Chef & owner Serif Kaya has been wooing diners at Ottoman Cuisine with his much awarded Turkish food since 1992. Modern day Turkish food is a result of the vast Ottoman Empire, spanning over three continents, with access to many markets & cultures. The menu at the Ottoman Cuisine consists of classic Turkish dishes that have withstood the test of time. There are also the dishes that Serif has created; inspired by his culinary heritage & his new home. The specials of the day bring you the best of the seasonal produce. In the Ottoman tradition, we recommend sharing your dishes in order for you to experience the fantastic range of flavours on offer. Please ask your waiter if you would like to try a tasting menu.

Delicious food with a good selection of beers and wines to accompany the meal. Great place for dinner with friends or family or a romantic dinner for 2

We arrived by taxi to celebrate the anniversary of us living in Canberra. This was a beautiful start to a beautiful night! We couldn't choose what to order so we had the degustation and we were definitely NOT disappointed. The food was amazing. It was such beautiful comforting food. None of the ridiculous fancy foods that no one knows how to pronounce, none of the fancy foods that leave you wondering what on earth you just eaten. This was gorgeous food served in a fancy way that left you feeling like mumma had outdone herself. I couldn't recommend Ottoman highly enough.

We went to the Ottoman to celebrate a birthday. Booking was easy, and we received a friendly greeting on arrival. We were shown to a nice table for two next to an open window and overlooking a pond. We ordered the degustation with paired wines. The food was delicious and the wines went very well with the food. My partner had dietary requirements, and the kitchen was very happy to cater to her needs. The zucchini’s flowers we had to start were nothing short of amazing, light and full of flavour. I don’t usually like mushrooms, but the spiced mushroom was beautiful. The lamp cutlets were nice and moist and cooked well. Dessert was nice and a great way to finish the meal. Our waitress Annalyse was friendly and attentive, despite the restaurant being full on a Saturday night. We had a great evening and will definitely be back.

Husband booked Ottoman for my Birthday dinner - I had mixed feelings about returning as it's been at least 6 years since our last visit which was memorable for all the WRONG reasons. BUT so glad we returned the decor has been updated and is very impressive, it is clean, interesting and pleasing to the eye. We were warmly greeted and taken to our table which was situated in a corner that took full advantage of the beautiful courtyard garden. The interior oozes with style and the " wait-staff" were friendly, engaging and attentive. For entree we shared the mixed dips which were plentiful with turkish bread and a serve of the house special comprising sardines, great choice and full of deliciousness - my husband will not normally eat sardines but he loooooved the Ottoman sardines. For mains my husband chose the Chicken Kebabs and I chose the Wagu beef that was sooo tender. For dessert we shared the semolina & orange cake soaked in orange syrup and my husband ordered the special of the day, and of course I had to order a Turkish coffee. Our waiter was fantastic, the food service was not rushed which suited us, we were allowed to take our time with each course to make for a wonderful dining experience. We will definitely return and have already recommended that our friends and family should also dine with us next time.

The Ottoman is a Canberra icon. We recently visited for a family birthday not having been for quite a few years. Food is first class and despite a very busy evening, service was exemplary.
