My husband and I arrived at 1.45pm for lunch as they were just closing the kitchen. No trouble ... they extended service and ensured that we were able to linger over the delicious food and wine. We were not hurried out.
I had the bouillabaisse which was delicious with a subtle taste of citrus. My husband had the Beef Cheek Bourbignone which was rich with melt in the mouth beef cheek and plenty of vegetables. He would have liked to have licked the plate. More bread was offered. Wine list was excellent with both local and French wine.
The waiter was an asset to this bistro.
We had been wanting to come to this bistro for a year and now wonder why we waited so long. We plan to return very soon.

We only booked the night before and were lucky they could fit us in - we were warned the table was by the bar but we didn't mind. I have been here once before about 2 years ago but it was hubby's first visit - we think it might be our new favourite. The staff were knowledgeable, professional and their timing was amazing, you never felt rushed or abandoned.
The food was excellent. I'd never tried snails but enjoyed a few before our main of the duck a l'orange with a side of greens, which was heaps for two of us.
The wine list was also excellent - we enjoyed a half bottle from Burgundy and a red from Morocco (their 2nd last bottle).
We had an excellent evening, thankyou!

Yesterday my husband and I went for lunch at the beautiful Les Bistronomes the food and staff were spot on. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and made you feel very comfortable. We shared some oysters for entree which were amazing and then for main and desert both had the beef cheeks with soft polenta and baby vegetables and chocolate fondant for desert. Both were simply amazing and the best we had ever had. The beef cheeks were cooked to perfection pulling apart so easily and melting in your mouth. The desert was so yummy and rich and the perfect fondant oozing with chocolate.
This is our favourite restaurant and we can't wait to come back again.
Thankyou for such a lovely lunch, the meal and your hospitality was perfect.
Elise

Great for either romantic dinner or a dinner with friends! Authentic atmosphere, great service and outstanding food! Comprehensive wine list. I was blown away by the grapefruit kir royale! One of the best beef tartare I have tried. Excellent beef cheek! We will be back!

Received a voucher for Xmas and decided to use it on the Saturday lunchtime degustation.

The food was exquisite. There were five courses and each dish had its own flavours and were well presented. A standout was the beef bourguignon - just delectable.

The menu was perfect for a winter with root veggies heavily featured. The pineapple cake with whipped yoghurt and liquorice caramel was a perfect end to the meal.

The place was packed but the service was warm and friendly. Just an all-round enjoyable experience. :)

Will definitely be going back to try the a la carte menu. Highly recommended!
