There is a wooden sacral monument in the Broumov cemetery - the Church of the Virgin Mary. Few people probably know that this is one of the similar buildings in Central Europe.

You must see it! Delightful baroque building with lots of charming corners: garden, courtyards, plafonds, sculptures, walls, tiny houses. Free tour with free toilet. Museum, shop and cafe must pay. I could live there!

A fantastic place to stay with an unique atmosphere and great facilities around. I can only recommend that.

Broumov is off the beaten path, but well worth the time to visit. The monastery has a storied past, as does the area, once part of the Austrian Empire and for a brief moment of Nazi Germany. The library has an admirable collection many of very old tomes.

But as building went, the architecture is full of the cultural heritage. The benedictine cloister is no exception.
