A fantastic place to stay with an unique atmosphere and great facilities around. I can only recommend that.

Broumov is off the beaten path, but well worth the time to visit. The monastery has a storied past, as does the area, once part of the Austrian Empire and for a brief moment of Nazi Germany. The library has an admirable collection many of very old tomes.

But as building went, the architecture is full of the cultural heritage. The benedictine cloister is no exception.

Big monastery worth a visit. You can take a walk around. Large park and paths. The building was renewed recently.

TThe library is 'out of this world', shockingly beautiful. A real baroque gem! The church is impressive too, with lots of ecclesiastical treasures - paintings, painted walls and ceilings, objects, pews... There is a cafe too, serving a choice of wines (hardly ever will Czech restaurants offer you a choice of eight or so unopened bottles when you want just a glass on the spot. There is a shop with a wider choice of souvenirs than usual and they also offer simple accommodation there (haven't tried).
