When I told that I want to see Wayang Kulit, very kindful staff called a taxi, in spite of a request on short notice. From 2nd floor, you can see Candi Prambanan, good location. I also enjyoed large room, swimming pool, so I am very happy to stay there, thanks to them.

while planning our trips to bali and java, i wrote to our hotels after booking them based on tripadvisor suggestions. poeri devata was the one that responded most promptly and with very good info: i must compliment christina widya for that. she agreed to get us tickets for the ramayana ballet and also arrange drop to jogja airport. and the pictures looked great. so we were severely disappointed when we arrived: the cottages must have been beautiful 25 years ago, but although spacious, their toilets and the outdoor bathroom were sorry looking and in need of an upgrade and facelift. and they told us it cost 25,000 rupiah to rent a bike/hour and 50,000 rupiah to use the pool, so we did neither. they also didn't have a car handy, so we had to rent 4 motorbikes to drop us off at the prambanan temple entrance which is about a mile away (at 10,000 rupiah her bike). i traveled around bali 25 years ago, and then outdoor bathrooms were chic and in, but they had plenty of vegetation and were pleasant. poeri devata was probably built then, but java is a lot drier and warmer, perhaps that made the bathroom garden less than lush. we didn't eat in the hotel, as we dined at the ramayana ballet restaurant (which is 300 yards away). but must say the staff were great in preparing nice boxed breakfasts for us at 6am as we had an 8am flight to denpasar. overall, a mixed experience, though the place is not expensive. the 200 yard walk back from the ramayana ballet to the hotel is a little scary, as there are no street lights.

Very nice bungalow hotel just 500mt from Ramayana ballet entrance. After resting they brought us and pick up from the ballet. Best facilities like pool, good variety of breakfast and even late dinner. Room very large with ethnic refurbishment, AC, outside bathroom, and very nice patio where to have a drink. Staff Is very friendly and real kind as they offer to pick you up almost everywhere...the lady at the deskroom Is really smart and help you in everything you! So if you want a familiar but yet medium level hotel with all facilities, javanese atmosphere without western luxury at a good rate, this is the right place for you!
