Myself and my partner had a great stay at this hotel. We paid slightly more than had planned, but the location of the hotel made it extremely worth it. There is an entrance to a beautiful beach from the hotel, with its own private section/sun loungers for those staying at the hotel. The staff were lovely, the hotel was clean and had great amenities. The pools were big and spacious, and having an adults only pool added to the relaxation. The only downside was the price of food and drink in the hotel, with no nearby alternatives really. But didn’t lessen the experience. Would recommend.

Have just returned from a wonderful holiday at Golden Sands. We are fortunate to have stayed at the Radisson Blu Resort and Spa almost every year since 2008 and look forward to returning in 2022.

The accommodation offered in the hotel from the apartments to the restaurants, bars, pools, and beach are all outstanding. Everywhere was kept immaculately clean, we watched the staff early in the morning disinfect each of the sun beds, all the doors, communal areas were spotless, and we felt very safe given the current public health concerns.

The hotel has introduced a ‘wrist band’ system when issuing towels by the pool which ensures that priority is given to paying guests rather than members of the public coming onto the site via the beach. We felt this was a good idea and saw security checking compliance throughout our stay.

We found all the staff very helpful and offered great customer service, from John and Laura on Reception through to the very hard working Alexsand in the Mokka Bar, Sharoon in Essence – (fabulous Indian Restaurant),Dragana and Rajan in Agliolio restaurant. The quality of food served, and the choice was outstanding in all the restaurants.

Our experience over the years has always been very positive, and given the very difficult circumstances that the hotel faced we were very happy that they had been able to maintain the high standard of customer care we have previously enjoyed

My 3rd visit this year and there is nowhere else I’d rather stay. Nothing beats the seaview from the rooms, the comfortable room layouts with all commodities including kitchen and two of the largest pools with enough space to cut yourself off from the stress. From the booking call to make a reservation (thank you Andrew) to the kind assistance at reception (thank you John) to the best customer service anyone could ever wish for from Henry and the team serving breakfast, which is impeccable, give this hotel a try and appreciate the fact that even during Covid times, the service and quality is still top notch. Pros:
Great beach, great breakfast, great service by staff in the hotel reception and Essence of India restaurant, huge rooms and bathrooms and high standards of cleanliness everywhere on the premises.

Cons:
Appallling service in the Agliolio restaurant and the beach staff. When we ate at Agliolio, we had to wait for ages for a waiter to come and take our order. When nobody came, we had to go and find a waiter ourselves. When we wanted to pay, again, nobody came with the bill. We had to go inside and find a waiter again.

For dinner that same day, we waited over 45 minutes for somebody to take our order. The burger was stone cold so we had to send it back. We then ordered dessert and drinks and it took over 30 minutes for even our drinks to arrive. We had to go inside to ask them for these. Once again, nobody came with our bill so we had to get up from our table to find a waiter to bring the bill. There was no contactless machine so the waiter asked us to walk all the way back to our room (the hotel is huge) and then come back with a debit card. This was well after 23:00.

We wouldn't mind this sort of service as restaurants can often be short staffed however, we definitely do not expect it in a 5* hotel where you are paying a lot of money for a high quality stay.

We voiced our concerns to Henri who was extremely kind and listened to our concerns. Natalie was unfortunately, one of the rudest staff members that we had ever come across. I could not even finish my first sentence when calmly talking to her. She immediately cut me off, started raising her voice over me and even put her hand up in front of my face to stop me finishing my first sentence...Absolutely horrific customer service. The arrogance was staggering.

Avoid the Agliolio restaurant which is very expensive and not worth the money. Most of the people staying at the hotel ate at the far cheaper restaurant 5 minutes walk from the hotel, Apple's Eye. The service at Apple's Eye was impeccable. Staff check in on you regularly and are extremely warm and well-mannered.

On one of the days, there were no beach towels available as there was an issue with the laundry. Staff at the beach bar simply said there was nothng they could do and nowhere else we could get towels from. We later took it upon ourselves to walk all the way up the stairs in the heat to the pool area to get towels. This falls well below the expected standards for 5* hotels. We noticed that if there was a problem arising from the hotel, the staff expected us to sort it out.

Its an excellant resort for any family who wants to holiday in this resort
Children will enjoy the most and the security is tight so no fear
I will definately recommend to any one who is looking for a good resort, resturants are preety good and the sittings outside are very romantic for the couples. most of the accomodatons have their own kitchen so if you fancy ,you can do your own cooking
