““Nice and Good place””

Kelavarapalli Reservoir Project
Reviewed 29 July 2017

After seeing Mettur dam was not expecting much of this place but was pleasantly surprised that we could walk on dam where we could view the reservoir on one side and the park on the other.
There are many safe areas where you can play in the water too.

The park itself was a big one and a busy one since there were many families here. There is a child play area and some hawkers with basic food / items outside the park.

It's a 100km ride from Bengaluru... Covering mostly the Highway...

One can spend a good half day visiting Krishnagiri by spending time in Temple and KRP Dam/Park.

Park entrance fee is just 5 rs... Simple and Maintained well...

Happy visiting...

Govt is maintaining this very neatly. But the people who visits polluting it a lot. People come there cook food and dispose the waste there... On top of that pollution it is neatly maintained. We visited it by Oct2015, dam was neatly painted. Some are collecting Money at the entrance without proper ticket. Kindly buy the ticket in the counter only.

Entry is too cheap just 5 rupees and free for kids. It has a Spotted deer park also. Nice location for half day spend.
