Best jungle to visit in India. Relatively new tiger reserve but with great bird and wildlife like sloth bear, giant flying squirrels, gaur, wild boars, spotted dears, raptors and many species of birds and butterflies. This is great location to explore the jungle through night safaris, camps and walks in the buffer zone. Fantastic experience for kids if they need a good introduction to the jungle and wildlife. We lived and loved every minute of our trip.

We've been to the forest twice and it is supposed to be the largest in central India. A must visit for anybody is in bhopal.

Although you are probably less likely to see Tigers in Satpura than in some of the other national parks, there are plenty of plusses. You will only see another half a dozen to ten vehicles so no mass circling of the wildlife. You do have a better chance of seeing Wild Dog, Sloth Bear and Leopard here and the birdlife is also very good. I'd also recommend a canoe trip along the river.

Wonderful Experience. Those who want to explore satpura mountains must visit Satpura National Park. Peaceful place and mostly unexplored. Forest officers and guide behaviour was very good and cooperative.
