Its a hot hot day, but Serendipity is on a little strip with resturants all with water being spray - perfect. I love it.

Position is right near attractions which is good.

Not as cheap as those near by, €1-€2 more. But you get bread and drink to included in the €12pp 3 course menue

Good quick food

Can't complain

Nothing "excellent" but definitely better than standard.

Prices are not insulting to the wallet.
Worth a visit.

The food was so fresh and lovely! The service staff were really friendly and tried to explain (which they did amazingly) as much as they could of the dishes we’d ordered and their history, even when we had limited Spanish and they had limited English. Definitely worth a visit if you are stopping by in Merida.

Serendipity restaurante & taperia - Merida

We were only staying one night in the amazing Roman town of Merida, and after wandering around sight-seeing in the evening, we tried to find a restaurant that was open before 9pm. We came upon Serendipity which advertised as being open all day for food. We were glad we did as it was very welcoming and we had some delicious tapas, squid in ink sauce, and my favorite was the tuna topped with roasted vegetables and price were very reasonable. Would certainly recommend this restaurant and hope to come back to Merida to stay longer and this where we will eat.
It is located just opposite the Roman Museum, so not hard to find, but well worth it.

Went here for my partners birthday. Best tapas we have had. Tried the regional beer. So good i asked where i could buy some. Service was good too. All very reasonably priced. Let down by the desserts though. Will go there again should we visit the town agaon.
