We stayed at IHG Malta for a short family break over Christmas. The hotel, room, facilities and location were perfect but most of all, the staff were amazing! From reception and front of door through to room service and restaurant staff, everyone was so friendly and attentive. Special thanks to Arjeneive, Eueda, Sooo and Satya in the Opal Lounge - you made breakfast and our evening times most enjoyable - THANK YOU!

Maybe not the newest hotel at the Island, but is trying to keep the satisfaction level high. Very polite and taking care of good lounge service manager Arjeneive. Very kind and with outstanding memory staff eg. Satya.
Hotel has a multiple services: pool, gym, snooker, for kids PlayStation.
Quite a good breakfast, not too much choice but enough to start a good day.
Perfect location, just in the st. Julian’’s center. Next to shopping mall, Spar, Beach and promenade.
Poor CSR as we got 2 toys for X-mas, the planet does not need such gifts. As well as the farewell plastic gift with a QR code for this revision - quite unnessesary.

Excellent hotel that proves that a hotel's quality is based on the staff, not just the building. We stayed here for a week over the Christmas period. The hotel is not on the beach but the staff certainly makes up for that "shortfall". We stayed in one of the "highland suites" on the 17th floor (those suites are all on the 17th and 18th floor). The living area is large with comfortable sofas, a large screen TV, dining table and chairs and desk. The bedroom is equally large, as is the bathroom which has a rain shower and a whirlpool bath. Plenty of storage for your outfits! The suite also has a large balcony with table and 4 chairs as well as 2 comfortable lounge beds.
The club lounge is on the 15th floor so it is easy to get to. The lounge staff is outstanding: they make you feel like family. At the lounge you can have breakfast (warm & cold + à la carte), afternoon tea and pre-dinner drinks & hors d'oeuvres. The spectacular pool area on the top floor (19th floor) was closed for the season so we were not able to visit that. The Christmas Day lunch buffer was great with a wide range of dishes to choose from. Overall this is an excellent InterCon Hotel where the staff deserve special compliments.
Not recommended, especially for families with children or anyone seeking a spa or wellness experience. This was a deeply disappointing stay—here’s why:
1. The reality does not match the pictures. The indoor swimming pool is dirty, and both the hammam and sauna are broken and unhygienic.
2. The swimming pool is small and overcrowded because it is open to the public, including members of the fitness club. There aren’t enough lounge chairs, so people are forced to sit on the floor
3. The hotel management is unresponsive and seems doesn’t care about the complaints or issues.
4. Paranga restaurant: We were not allowed to sit inside just to have a drink. Instead, the waitress suggested we sit outside in rainy, windy weather at +14°C, despite there being no roof or cover.
5. in general, this hotel is not worth the money, will avoid this chain for the future
