My Mum and i took 9 days away for the first time in Malta. We had a very positive experience!
This hotel is bloody EXCELLENT! All the staff were happy, helpful , friendly and generally lovely! The receptionists, tour operators, the breakfast staff, the house keeping and anyone else i may have encountered! The room was lovely, spacious and very clean. The balcony view was good and beds very comfortable. The house keeping team did a great job every day. Even the corridors smelt nice! Little things like that go along way!! and what was really impressive, was that the head of the dept, knocked one day and asked my Mum is everything was to her liking!!

When we arrived the young trainee reception boy was very informative.
The breakfast was really really great! Friendly , hard working plentiful waiters , got you tea and coffee. The head lady showed us around. We opted every morning to sit and eat on the balcony. We had the sun on us and the peaceful sea to look at! Our favourite thing to do each day. The food was amazing! Fresh, the areas were very clean, it was plentiful and topped up continually and some things like the cakes varied each day, breads, fruit, yogurts, cereal, cooked food, meats, cheeses, etc if any says different then they are idiots! Nothing to fault here! Something for everyone and so much you could never get bored or go hungry!
So you eat breakfast in the restaurant in the morning. There is a cafe place near reception which is like a separate shop but is part of the hotel so i understand. We had a coffee there . Outside are more restaurants which again are part of the hotel but look separate and themed differently. Had a lovely mozzarella salad and chips in one place, soup in the french place, a chicken in a cream sauce in the end one and a very very nice indian in Buddhamann. The manager in Buddhamann , although v.busy remembered I'd requested a sea view seat if possible and saved it for us. We never tryed the caviar and bull. The last one of those shops, i hate to say was our only terrible meal in 9 days. It was the American themed one. Extremely disappointing. But 8 fantastic meals out of 9 nights we thought was very good!

Unfortunately for us the weather changed after 3 days of sunshine so we only went to the pools outside the hotel once. The pools were great. Toilets clean and florr area. The Marina had a sister hotel next door so they give you a pass to get into the pools. Different sizes, plenty of sun beds. Never ate round the pool. The music was too loud but other than that very good.
One afternoon we went in to the indoor pool and Apollo spa. My only niggle was that because the hotel was 110% excellent, the pool appeared shabby and need a little love an attention. The beauty treatment i chose , the machine had broken and i got offered a different treatment which i have to say, i wished id said leave it and get my £ back. My Mum on the other hand had a wonderful massage from this guy and lots of information on products which she treated herself to. So luck of the draw there!
On our last day, our flight wasnt till later. The receptionists looked after our suitcases and what i thought was impressive, was they had a private shower and changing room which we could use for free. It was great to shower before the journey home.

Few mins from hotel are water sports. I managed to get my mum on a jet ski ha! and there were shops.
Hugo Terrace in paceville , 5 mins from hotel was a very nice bar for food and cocktails, and there were 2 restaurants on the beach at st. Georges bay, again just mins walk from hotel. Ate in the one on the left, Marvelous burger and cocktail and live band! Pasta at Cargos in spinola bay, (cab ride away but walk-able to my memory) , and a Hungarian restaurant in sliema, (along near tex mex) and also on the opposite side of the road where there are lots of restaurants near the sea front, we had a nice meal at Peppi's Italian restaurant.
Hard Rock Cafe disappointing. The guy took ages to serve someone at the bar, and i asked for 2 drinks, he disappeared out the back never to return so we left!.

24 Euro cab ride from hotel to Popeye village ...excellent! staff, entertainment , food and coffee very good. The traditional Maltese meal and dancing at Ta'Marija worth a visit too! The festival of our Lady was good in Gudja. Fire works, parade and band (don't got expecting food stalls though. ) Saw the cathedral and bomb in Mosta. Nice day at Mdina, horse and cart ride and good view from Cafe Fortana.Coach tour to Gozo. Long day but fine.Included a ferry.
Last but not least The blue Lagoon. ... small boat over to island. Beautiful blue waters and had a cocktail in a pineapple. (Easily pleased ha!)Toilets need a lot of work and staff that can be bothered! Ferry be prepared to fight for your seat if you want to get back at a certain time.

There is a bus stop right outside the hotel for general buses and tour buses.
The buses are dreadful for turning up especially in the rain we found!
Tour buses can be fickle at times. (Red tour bus not the blue). Bus drivers not the friendliest.
Best advice was to use TAXIFY ( like uber). Very quick, cheaper than local cabs. Mainly driven by Italians and very friendly people. Also be careful when crossing the roads. They lack driving laws and health an safety so be careful!

Over all we recommend this hotel 110%!
If i ever came back , i would Definitely choose this hotel. Its In an ideal position, staff, rooms and food great, (tasty and big portions) and we thought value for money!,. Everyone we dealt with in Malta were very nice people and egar to serve you. Nothing was too much trouble (which is what the English should practice a bit more! )

Thank you to all the staff that made our holiday! Sorry this review is late!

Room Tip: Just look at your options online or phone and ask if you're not sure.

Nice hotel and helpful staff. All rooms seem to have a sea/bay view. My room looked over the bay towards Paceville - not a stunning view, but perfectly acceptable. The breakfast was excellent and the chef was happy to do eggs to order if you were not a of scrambled which were available in the serving pots. Fresh coffee was served by very nice waitress and refills were plentiful. There was also a very good coffee machine for specialist brews.

Within the hotel complex are a number of restaurants and I tried the Italian one. There was a 20% discount card in the room and I used it. Really great food and a very lively atmosphere.

Bus stop immediately outside the hotel entrance where the Valletta bus stopped.

I will use this Hotel again and am happy to recomend it to others.

Room cleaners very quick and thorough.

The hotel was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful the cost reasonable and the location perfect. I stayed for 7 nights from 20th to 27th December to have a wind down, relaxing break and that's exactly what I had.

I took advantage of the concierge app. and even the flights were seamless. Would definitely return

This is hotel is a destination in itself. All amenities are within the property. Staff and service is fabulous.
The breakfast menu could be less pricey. There is good transport provided by the hotel coinceirge to the city.

So we stayed here for 2 nights as part of our trip to Malta in December 2017.

The check in process was simple and the room was ready within good time, the room itself was big enough and the facilities within the room were nice.
The hotel reception was friendly and helpful and were fully willing to assist in any way they could with no fuss.

We didn't opt for the breakfast so I cannot comment on that but there are many places to eat nearby within 5/10 mins walk.

There is bus stop right outside the hotel where you can get buses to most places (you may have to swap), bus drivers are nice and helpful and you will find a lot of them are from the UK!

I would recommend this to anyone who wants to stay for a short break it indeed was value for money!
