On arrival late evening I gave my and companions details to Reception for the two rooms we'd booked through On The Beach. The hotel reception explained that their system showed only one room booked. Fortunately i had hard copied all the booking information which i produced to the Night Manager who accepted that I had lndeed booked (and paid for) 2 rooms. However he explained that the hotel was tied by what was shown on the in house system but that as a courtesy he would allow us to occupy 2 rooms for a day or 2 whilst this was sorted out. This sad saga was still ongoing 3 days later ( the booking apparently took place through a number of agents both local and international) with the threat of expulsion - for one of us - repeated. In the end the hotel accepted the booking but only after i'd spent half a day speaking to both On The Beach and their Spanish booking agents. As I tried to explain to the Night Manager this is my holiday but your job !
On my return to the UK i wrote a letter of complaint sent by recorded delivery followed up by several chasing e-mails. To date i have not even had the courtesy of a reply !
For completeness I should say that I liked the hotel, although some of the advertised facilities were closed at the time.
