We booked to stay here for 2 nights and only read the negative reviews after booking.
I was pleasantly surprised by the room and it's staff. The receptionist was very polite, welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. It was loud as it was at the front of the hotel and the balcony overlooked the street with the bars. Not ideal if you are a light sleeper, but we found it ok.
The breakfast was fine, tea and coffee available as well as juices. There were breads, cheeses and hams as well as yoghurt, bananas and apples.
I found it reasonable value.
I would definitely stay here again.

Do not stay in this hotel! Ever! There is a construction going on across the street and you can hear the jackhammer all day long. We were supposed to stay for a week, but had to check out after two miserable days, because we didn't want to be woken up every day at 7am. The noise was unbearable and the hotel manager was so rude and arrogant that I was surprised someone like that is allowed to talk to the customers.
Additionally, the toilet didn't flush (we were able to flush it twice a day), wifi never worked and the breakfast was so poor that we had to have another breakfast afterward. Do not stay in this hotel, the lower price is not worth this horrific experience!

Room Tip: If you want to choose a good room, then choose a room in another hotel.

Whilst i didn't expect much more than i got from this two star rated hotel, i did expect the basic facilities in my room to work. However i had a fridge that didn't work, a shower door that was out of it's track, & a bathroom sink with no plug in it to use & a cracked w/c & sink. I requested an extra pillow to use upon arrival & had to make two more requests before it turned up three days later. The fridge problem i gave up upon. The communally toilets were a discrace with no toilet seats fitted in the gents. One of the morning waiters was ignorant & difficult with his attitude to serving you. Difficult to find pluses for this Hotel but overall the food was good & some staff very helpful. Rooms were get clean every day with clean towels. Overall a budget hotel so don't expect too much.

This should NOT be called an hotel, it should be classed as a hostel. It may be adequate for back-packers, but for anyone wanting a relaxed stay in Malta - STAY AWAY. I am unable to go into details as I have sent complaints to The Malta Tourist Authority and The Malta Competition & Consumer Affairs Authority (MCCAA). We checked in at around 02:30, we spent approximately 45 minutes in the room and the rest of the night in reception. We had to book and stay at another hotel.

Room Tip: Teg stench of mold and mustiness was overpowering.
