Just tried Haweli for the first time. Please note, I didn't give these 5 stars lightly - I'm extremely fussy when it comes to Indian cuisine...
SO pleased I ordered my old faithful because let’s face it, I judge an Indian restaurant harshly by the quality of their vindaloo and garlic naan. If they get past that test, they get my full attention #standard!
I was suitably impressed. You could taste the fresh ingredients, the spices were well balanced and the flavour was nothing short of high class, authentic vindaloo (and an amazing price point). The chicken was cooked perfectly. My tastebuds were unequivocally convinced there were zero shortcuts taken in the procurement, prep and cooking process.
The naan was exceptional. The bread was perfect – broke apart beautifully, with a perfect bit of crunch. There was no shortage of delicious buttery garlic and it wasn’t greasy at all. #yum !
Further, my mate, who's not usually a fan of Indian cuisine, had Signature Dish #20: Murg Kesar Malai. Not only was he impressed with the presentation, he said it was one of the most delicious dishes he'd ever had!! #turnedhimYAY !
Finally, I really appreciated the super clean open kitchen and the prompt and friendly service.
Cheers guys, you just got yourself a regular ;)
And a big YAY for well priced, fresh & authentic, Indian cuisine!
