Many a pound have I spent in this pub in the last couple of years since its takeover. Went in for an after work meal tonight with a family member and was astounded by the open rudeness of the tall blonde barmaid, who visibly rolled her eyes when we ordered dessert at 8.20pm. Can't knock the other dark haired barmaid who was with her but the other girl was a disgrace.

Visited today with our son and granddaughter who live in the village.
Beer was great, fast and polite service, food was wonderful, prices good too, recently refurbished, we liked it a lot.
Highly recommended we will be back!

Went Saturday 11th February 2016 as a party of six and had a very good meal and service. We booked but it was not full although it was 3pm and the rugby was on.

If you are in the area I would recommend it to you.

They serve a good selection of real ales, they had a nice local ale on tap when we went which was more than acceptable.

I have been a couple of times and the vegetarian option was pasta or more pasta. Such a shame cos it is a local pub for us but just no choice for me.

We visited the pub today for the second year running (under the new ownership) for our Annual post-Xmas family meal. The pub accommodated 27 of us (including 6 children) and brought out the children's meals a bit earlier meaning that the adults could then enjoy their meals hot! The majority of our party enjoyed a Sunday roast - such good value at £8.95!! Everyone enjoyed their meals and they were all piping hot! The only thing that let it down slightly was that service was not as attentive after we had finished the main meals so we had to go up and order desserts ourselves (which is a bit of a mission when there's 27 of you!) Other than that it was really lovely - thank you for making us feel so welcome again.
