In August, much of the area is covered with black tarp as the garden is being renovated/expanded. The portion that is planted (near Thomas Mann Platz) was gorgeous.

...you might as well go, but if you are choosing between going here because of the garden and some other activity elsewhere, maybe this is not enough to be a main activity. There are pretty flowers planted along a path, both native and other plants with signs indicating what they are. There is also a small waterfall nearby, and that's it. I enjoyed my visit.

If you are visiting Shatzalp (free with the Klosters Davos card) then it is worthwhile to visit the botanical garden. You will need to climb up a semi-steep trail and you can see some of the flowers and shrubs that are on the mountain, each labelled with the name.

Don't assume the gardens are just the part outside the hotel by the terrace. You need to walk behind the hotel and up to see the best parts. On a very rainy day in August we were lucky enough to see an Alpine Salamander right on the path - beautiful little animal! Some of the paths go uphill quite steeply - not suitable for everyone but accessible for most.

Easily accessible from Davos Platz. I walked up and the views across Davos were lovely and the paths are well maintained. At the top there are plenty of walks, wild flowers and the Wasser waterfall, which isn't particularly big but worth a look. Walk back down is nice and easy.
