14 of us ate here on a very quiet and wet Tuesday night and each pub meal was delicious and huge! The staff were really nice and made sure all meals were served at same time. Reasonably priced and close to the hotel we were staying in so an easy walk back. Would definitely visit again if ever in Gretna.

This pub offers traditional pub at reasonable prices, just what you would expect from a normal regular pub. Fairly basic place but worth dropping in for a drink and only across the road from the Outlet Shopping Centre. The public bar area has a pool table and great jukebox. We will definitely pop back in.

Popped in for Sunday dinner today before going shopping at Gretna Outlet Village. Me and husband both got roast beef dinner which was £9.95 each and 2 year old got cheeseburger chips and salad. We waited a good 40 minutes for food which wasn't too much of a problem but a couple of tables had waited a lot longer. Sons dinner was fine but roast dinners very disappointing! Thin cheap beef, a spoonful of boiled cabbage and carrots that were swimming in water, a shop bought yorkshire pudding, 2 little boiled taties and 2 little roast taties. Very bland and very basic for £9.95 per dinner, portion size was poor and definitely not worth the money. Only positive thing is it's a comfy little restaurant and very welcoming. Shame about the quality of the food.

Me and my partner came up to stay over night for the wedding fayre at smiths/Gretna hall and greens. After a long day and sub zero weather conditions was nice and welcoming pub. Food was very good , hot and quick service ! Well priced too ! Me and my partner both had fish and chips . Fish was the most enjoyable part . The pubs decor could be with a bit of an update but overall a very enjoyable visit !

Very disappointingly we went to this place for dinner the night before our sons wedding.
The website looked lovely and the reviews indicated decent pub grub, and let’s be honest there’s nothing wrong with GOOD pub grub.
On arrival we double checked we was in the right place as it looked a lot different to the well kept exterior photos, but considering the recent bad weather we accepted that it was just the time of year.
We went in to the lounge bar.....dated and badly stocked is about all you can say about the decor, but pretty decor doesn’t mean good food, so on we went to the table.
We had all decided before arrival what we wanted from the online menu, none of us had our choice as the online and in-house menus are very different.
Out of the 6 of us that went, five having ordered steaks, only one of us got a steak cooked how we ordered it, luckily I had ordered some gravy as two of the others had what was described as creamy mash, it was unbelievably dry and had to be wetted to be able to swallow, my steak was stone cold and very very over cooked despite ordering very very rare, the easiest steak to do correctly, and it was stone cold, the gravy was microwaved and scolding hot, the chips weren’t even decent frozen chips but dry paffy rubbish.
To be quite honest I don’t want to bore you with a run down of dire food, but if you want edible food you would be better off at McDonald’s.
The lady that served us was pleasant though despite probably stretching the truth when she said that nights “chef” was the best steak chef and a couple that go there every year wait for him to be on duty to do their food as he is so good!
Avoid like the plague, it’s telling that the only picture of a person is someone in a nylon football shirt!!
