We visited the centre with our two Norwegian grandchildren. From the amazing metal cow, through the historical exhibits and to the dressing up corner, we were all fascinated and spent far longer enjoying our visit than we had expected. The children look forward to returning on a future holiday in Dungannon. Unfortunately the day was rather misty so we didn't see as much of the view as we would have wanted - but we will certainly return on a day with better weather, for the top of Dungannon hill is a wonderful viewpoint over central Northern Ireland.
A final point of amazed interest - visiting the whole Visitor Centre is free!!

If passing through or near Dungannon, The Hill of The O'Neill is a place I would strongly recommend to call into. The views from the top are amazing and contains some interesting pieces of local information and Irish history. The staff are very friendly and their cafe is the ideal place to relax.

Visited the Hill of the O'Niel for a concert. The views were spectacular. It has an amazing history that is well displayed. The council have done a great job making it a joy to visit. Highly recommended. On a clear day you can see for miles.

Killing a bit of time when on a visit to Dungannon I spotted this place on TripAdvisor and thought it worth a look. I was not disappointed. Stopped off first for a coffee in the adjoining cafe and first impressions there were good. It was not busy (it was a wet Tuesday well after lunch time) and the young girl in the cafe was friendly and pointed us in the direction of the exhibitions on the next floors.
There was a local art exhibition on and having looked around we then proceeded into the main hall on the 2nd floor. I noted the colouring pencils and paper left out for kids and again cannot fault the building as it was clean and again any staff we met were friendly. even though it was raining I ventured outside to take a look around at the remains of the old house and the views.
They seem to have various free and paid functions and events on at different times a visit to their website will keep you up to date.
