We found this by chance by walking past it with hungry stomachs (!) so we went in and were quickly seated. Good job as it filled up so fast, 20 mins later there was a 35 min wait for a table. Its very trendy (for cornwall anyway) and has a bar upstairs and a seating area downstairs.
It's quite central, and easy to find although parking in central Truro is a nightmare.
Truro is a nice place but hides a lot of poverty and homeless. Not the restaurants fault obviously, just worth mentioning not to walk around the city with rose tinted glasses.
Anyway back in the seating area, they brought a bottle of cold water to the table, which wish other places did!
Waiting staff polite but a bit over-friendly, I hate being refereed to as "guys" (!) this is Cornwall, not Los Angeles.
I had a steak with some sort of mix on top, no idea what it was but tasted lovely, cooked well but very expensive for what it was.
The missus had calameres which again nice but they fill the plate with salad so it looks like more than you are actually getting.
Although I didn't have one, their burgers do look really nice, and huge too.
Poor drinks section, only one beer on tap, a pilsner, albeit a nice one.
Overall yes I would come back here, possibly when it's a bit quieter.
The only real criticism was the toilets. Small, cramped and utterly filthy. Whilst for young people it may not be "cool" to be asked by the boss to keep the toilet clean but it could do with more attention or sure.
Apart from that, great!
